Sponsors

The Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen is made possible by the contributions of our sponsoring Organizations and Volunteers. Without you we would not exist.

The Soup Kitchen in Benton Harbor is staffed by volunteers from churches or businesses. Most groups donate the food for their day at the Soup Kitchen. They also cook, serve and help with light clean-up in the kitchen.

Our Wish List

  • In general, we prefer that you not buy food for us–it is much better for us if you donate the money rather than purchasing food.
  • Why? We can buy food cheaper than  you can, and donated food must be sorted, organized, cleaned, and inventoried.
  • It is far better for us if you save the shopping and delivery time and just donate that money.  Just click on the orange donate button above.
  • If you still wish to donate items, these are things we need for every lunch sack:
  • piece of fruit
  • small bag of chips or pretzels
  • BIGGEST NEED: bottles of water
As of August, we are using about 140 bottles of water per day
  • Thanks to all you farmers, amateurs and professionals, for all the lovely produce. We are handing out fresh produce to the guests almost every day now!
